Para Educator

Do you have a passion for helping students with special needs succeed in school and beyond? As a Paraeducator in Special Education, you’ll provide critical support to students, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential. What You’ll Do

Assist students with special needs during classroom activities, ensuring their unique learning needs are met.
Collaborate with teachers to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and provide tailored support.
Facilitate communication, social interactions, and the development of life skills in students.
Help adapt and modify instructional materials to meet student needs.
Document student progress and provide feedback to the educational team.
Offer compassionate support for students' physical and personal care needs, as required.

Education Requirements
To qualify, you’ll need a high school diploma or equivalent and one of the following:

Completion of at least two years of higher education (48 semester units or 60 quarter units), OR
An Associate degree or higher, OR
A passing score on an examination that demonstrates your ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Additional Requirements

Health Requirement: TB test results dated within the past 4 years (if available).
Experience: Prior experience working with school-age children in a professional capacity is preferred but not required.
