Outside Sales Associate- Central Wisconsin

The Outside Sales Associate serves as a member of the Fortune Fish & Gourmet’s sales team by building strong and mutually profitable relationships with customers. This position is responsible for achieving sales goals by engaging and building external accounts through our center of the plate and gourmet foods portfolios .The incumbent’s key responsibility is to drive sales activity by providing outstanding service and solving problems for customers. This is achieved by working effectively with all stakeholders to ensure that Fortune’s customers are receiving the highest level of support to facilitate their success.

Location: Central WI- Stevens Point, Wausau area
Description

Execute the sales process by implementing the following key steps; develop product knowledge, prospect, and approach potential new clients, access their needs, present product info and continuously follow-up.
Investigate and resolve customer questions with a high sense of urgency.
Conduct marketing research and compile prospective customer lists utilizing; personal networks, social media (Linked In, Facebook, etc.), business directories, industry ads, trade shows, company websites, and other sources.
File appropriate paperwork with accounting for credit terms
Facilitate product delivery to Fortune’s customers based on the company’s production and delivery schedules.
Collaborate with Purchasing and Operations to ensure inventory levels meet customer demand.
Work to quote strategic pricing with guidance from VP of sales and other senior sales staff.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years outside sales experience selling perishable food products - seafood experience highly preferred. Past experience as a Chef highly desired.
Education: Culinary certification and/or degree preferred, but not required.
Communications: Have highly developed English verbal communication skills. Spanish is a plus.
Personal Attributes: Be highly motivated, personable and exhibit a history of successfully working in a high paced environment. Must be a self-starter and quick study to learn Fortune’s products and operations rapidly.
