Regional Director Organizational Overview Foster the Family is a Christian-based organization that imagines a system where families welcoming children are supported by the church and community surrounding them and where homes become places of belonging for healing and vulnerable children. We are a quickly growing organization with support groups and practical response programs in support of foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Our work is driven by Biblical ethics of caring for the vulnerable and is fueled by God’s love for them and for us. Internally, our team is a diverse group of champions, leading programs that operate in 35 states across the country. Reports To: Executive Director Location: Hybrid in the DMV Area Position Status: Full-time Compensation: $85,000 per year Position Summary The Regional Director is an integral part of the Foster the Family leadership team and is responsible for overseeing programming and partnerships for 4 offices and beyond in the DMV and Baltimore areas. This person is relational and strategic with a proven track record for coaching growing leaders, cultivating major partners and donors, and overseeing strategic growth operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities ● Collaborate with the Executive Director to source and grow potential individual, business, and nonprofit partnerships in the region ● Collaborate with the Executive Director to connect Foster the Family with national prospective partners, as identified organically ● Manage a system for tracking partnership levels, engagement levels, and the process of working through the various levels ● Participate in Foster the Family’s leadership team as a key member that drives strategic vision and implementation ● Drive new program, legislative engagement, and fundraising strategies ● Oversee 4 Assistant Directors and Directors in the region ● Research, write, and secure grants for the 4 offices and beyond as the region grows ● Coordinate with the development and marketing teams to externally engage the regional community ● Aid in the crafting and oversight of the regional budget and funding goals Qualifications – We value diverse backgrounds and humble passion, even if they are not reflected in the qualifications below! ● Bachelor’s degree preferred ● Minimum of seven years' experience engaging and growing collaborative, corporate, and fund partnerships ● Minimum of five years’ experience in fundraising or sales ● Experience leading a team in the nonprofit, child welfare, or ministry sector ● Proven experience writing and winning grants ● Comfortability and experience with public speaking ● Comfortability with speaking in and engaging the local church, including working closely with faith based leaders ● Comprehensive understanding of the foster care system strongly preferred ● Lived experience with foster care, adoption, or related strongly preferred ● Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed ● Ability to travel to meet with prospects and established partners as needed Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $85,000.00 per year Benefits:
