Position Overview
The Tenter Operator position is a non-exempt, hourly position responsible for operating the Monforts Tenter Frame to heat-set fabric. The Tenter Operator must be able to operate a sewing machine, a crane, and slitters.
What you'll do

Review log book to learn of issues encountered by previous shift

Follow all work instructions

Machine Start-up procedures

Load fabric onto the machine with a crane, set the machine to the correct settings with the computer, tenter the fabric

Use the crane to place new pole at the exit end of the machine, remove completed roll and place on cart

Disassemble the machine and clean it once per week

Assume, in addition such other duties as assigned by the Production Team Manager

Who you are

1 Ability to work 8:00PM to 8:00AM
2 GED or High School Diploma and company issued Forklift license
3 Ability to lift, carry and/or move up to 75 pounds
4 Ability to push/pull up to 1,000 lbs. on pallet jack
5 Ability to work with minimal supervisory direction
6 Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English
7 Ability to work in an environment where temperature varies in range
8 Ability to tolerate moderate to loud plant noise levels
