Assist in the preparation and organization of microbiology lab materials, including media, reagents, and equipment, to ensure smooth lab sessions for students.
Set up and maintain laboratory workstations, ensuring all necessary tools and materials (e.g., microscopes, slides, cultures) are ready before each lab class.
Support sterilization and decontamination procedures, handling lab waste and sanitizing work areas to meet safety and cleanliness standards.
Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, conducting routine checks and reporting any malfunctions or required repairs to lab supervisors.
Collaborate with lab instructors and teaching assistants, ensuring timely setup and providing assistance with demonstrations or student inquiries during lab sessions.
