The Medical Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for organizing and providing diagnostic testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, and blood bank/serology and maintaining the laboratory program. Responsible for supervision and oversight of all duties in the Medical Laboratory of the Wah-Zha-Zhe Health Clinic. Reports to the Laboratory Director.
Bachelors degree from an accredited 4-year college or university with certification in Allied Health Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, or related field required
2 years or more of experience managing, coordinating, and implementing a full-service clinical laboratory program required
Must have knowledge in principles of quality control, proficiency testing, workload reporting systems and program documentation to assure reliable data
Knowledge of HIPAA and Privacy Act
Requires ability to read and understand federal regulations, Osage Nation policies and procedures, and state and accrediting agencies requirements and standards
Must have thorough professional knowledge of standard medical technology concepts & principles
Must be able to stand extended periods of time
Must have good visual acuity to perform microscopic examinations
Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation
Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
Requires a high level of problem-solving skills
Familiarity with grant writing, administration, and compliance with grant regulations preferred
Requires familiarity with the concepts of budget development and compliance with tribal budgets
Requires familiarity with planning concepts and processes including but not limited to program planning
