The material handler is responsible for the proper maintenance of the Manufacturing Line Rhythm through the replenishment of Kanban’s and the delivery of raw materials to production operators.
Responsibilities:

• Replenishment of the Kanbans and proper monitoring of Kanban levels by manufacturing line and/or cell.
• Monitor the manufacturing line performance and work operations.
• Ensure the maintenance of the manufacturing line rhythm.
• Ensure that production operators sufficient raw materials to perform their assigned duties.
• Ensure the material they distribute to production operators complies with required process and/or specifications.
• Distribute tooling, as needed for the production operators.
• Immediate communication to Facilitator or Manufacturing Manager of manufacturing line issues.
• If necessary, order batches and creates requisitions.
• Follow current compliance regulations and standards.
• Comply with all federal regulated programs.
• Comply with all environmental, safety and occupational health policies (i.e., ISO14001 & OSHAS 18001)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Two (2) years of experience in a regulated industry or professional experience is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and use of software application(s) is required.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills is required.
• Statistical and analytical problem solving skills is preferred.
• Must be successfully trained in the use of an electric and/or manual pallet jack, and scissors lift is required.
• Must be able to work under pressure achieving consistently high results through individual and team efforts is required.
• Ability to perform lift an approximate weight of 50lbs with assistance or mechanically aided is required.
• Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which may include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts and/or 12-hour daily shifts, including weekends and holidays is required.
