Position Summary
The Marine Personnel Manager ensures the fleet is crewed with properly qualified mariners per the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and United States Coast Guard (USCG) regulations.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

Establishing the qualifications and competency levels for all personnel ashore and afloat.
Monitoring and measuring (analyzing) the effectiveness of personnel, determining if human resource needs are being met and recommending changes as required.
Managing all matters concerning hiring of personnel, assignment of crews, payroll, and travel reimbursements.
Ensuring that monthly crew lists are prepared and maintained.
Maintaining the license/credentials database and ensuring service letters are issued.
Coordinating vessel personnel career development and placement.
Maintaining Company physical standards and medical monitoring programs.
Participating in HSQE Management Team and Management Review meetings as directed.
Ensuring all crew members are properly credentialed prior to engaging as directed.
Accommodate additional crewing requests as needed such as shipyard transits, engineers in the shipyard, etc.
Develop, maintain, and distribute crew rosters to appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with Port Engineers and Port Captains to maintain effective mariner training assignments.
Assist mariners with credential renewal and upgrade process.
Approve and deny mariner vacation requests.
Understand the Company’s payroll process.
Complete additional tasks as directed by Management.
