Manager, HR Services and Contingent Workers Location: Wilmington, DE
Introduction to role: Join our Commercial Americas Procurement team as an integral member, managing the Human Resources and Contingent Labor spend categories across the Americas region. This role is pivotal in managing customer and supplier relationships to ensure that Category Strategies are highly aligned to current and future business needs and that the supply base is capable of supporting these strategies.
Accountabilities: As a Manager, HR Services and Contingent Workers, you will oversee the implementation of Human Resources regional category plan for the Americas region. You will work closely with business stakeholders and to ensure alignment with business needs. Your role will involve advising on and driving procurement strategies, preparing competitive bids, quotations and proposals, negotiating with suppliers, and managing stakeholder and supplier relationships. You will lead project initiatives tied to the category strategies to deliver value to the business, ensure sustainability initiatives with key suppliers within category, and lead cost, service, SLAs and other negotiations for strategic suppliers in the region.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required
5 or more years of relevant work experience, including Procurement experience
Oral and written fluency in Business English
Strong analytical and financial skills
Strong communicator, ability to influence others
Supplier or Project Management experience, including the ability drive negotiations to closure under time constraints
Understanding of HR Services in the US environment
Knowledge of the Employee Benefits landscape in the US
Ability to leverage a range of influencing techniques
Proven ability to manage change
Comfort with risk and ambiguous situations
Desired Skills/Experience:
Professional Procurement Qualification
Experience with HR Services, Contingent Labor, Benefits Administration, or Insurance Services
Ability to quickly learn and master new concepts related to HR Services in the US
Strong working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry / or related industries
Significant experience in Category Management
Significant negotiation experience with favorable outcomes for the stakeholders.
