Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various machinery and equipment to produce high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, be proficient in blueprint reading, and possess hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments. This position requires a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: · Learns to operate equipment at a satisfactory level as assigned. · Performs inspections on various equipment for proper operation and reports questionable conditions. · Performs various housekeeping, cleaning and organizing functions with minimal supervision to ensure areas are clean and free from debris. · Follow work schedule and follows specifications such as material, type and size of stock and dimensions needed to cut if needed. · Ability to safely operate various manufacturing equipment and follow specific directions. · Prepare and assemble materials. · Maintain and keep production logs as required. · Maintain inventory of job materials. · Plan and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements. · Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to plant supervisor. · Start up and shut down processing equipment. · Provide advice and/or training to other technicians. · Follow company safety and handbook policies. · Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: · Proven experience as a manufacturing technician or other related position. · Ability to read, write and interpret documents. · Ability to use basic Math and read a tape measure (to 1/16” measurements). · Ability to use common sense in understanding tasks and resolving issues. · Knowledge of the safety, legal and handling procedures of goods and machine. · Read and interpret tape measure. · Excellent communications skills. · Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities. · Ability to be forklift certified. Education: · High School Diploma or equivalent. · 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
