**Housekeeper** **Job Overview:** The Housekeeping Attendant performs duties that involve maintaining a sanitary environment, preventing the spread of infection, while providing a pleasant, assisted living environment. The Housekeeping Attendant will be held responsible for daily cleaning and laundry maintenance. They will also act as a universal employee by assisting with all residential services and promoting the concept of assisted living. The Housekeeping Attendant will need to be knowledgeable of accepted cleaning aides and sanitation techniques in compliance with the facility's policy and state/federal regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy. · Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts. · Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas so that health standards are met. · Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas. · Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing waxing machines. · Switch and wash sheets/comforters. · Promote security, safety, and individuality of residents. · Communicate resident needs to appropriate staff. · Act as an active member of the resident care team and ambassador for the facility. · Understand and promote the concept of assisted living with the philosophy of independence, autonomy, respect, and dignity. · Practice exceptional customer service. · Communicate areas of improvement in are or operations to appropriate personnel. · Assist with resident care, including but not limited to bathing/showering, dressing, grooming, transfers, cognitive orientation, errands, and privacy. · Use facility resources and time effectively and efficiently. · Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality. · Comply with company policies and procedures. · Perform other duties as assigned.
