Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Controller to join our finance team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to advance their career in accounting and financial management. The Junior Controller will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
Support budgeting processes by providing insights and analysis on financial performance.
Maintain the general ledger accounting system, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
Collaborate with the finance team to implement financial software solutions, including Xero, to enhance reporting capabilities.
Contribute to month-end closing processes by preparing journal entries and supporting documentation.
Assist in public accounting tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries from auditors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Strong understanding of financial concepts and double-entry bookkeeping principles.
Experience with financial software; familiarity with Xero is a plus.
Knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and account analysis techniques.
Previous experience in public accounting is advantageous but not required.
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
