Job Summary: The Human Resources Assistant provides comprehensive secretarial and administrative support within the Human Resources Department. This position supports the Benefits and Labor Relations teams, assists other areas of the department as needed, and plays a key role in maintaining the efficiency and professionalism of HR operations.
Annual Salary: Grade 3: $24.39 - $33.51 DOE
Work Day: 8 hours
Work Year: 10 months
Bargaining Unit: Non-Represented
Job Qualifications/Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position):
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of three (3) years of executive administrative secretarial experience. Note: Education and relevant related experience may be substituted for administrative secretarial experience.
3. Highly developed organizational and prioritization skills.
4. Superior attention to detail and a proven ability to handle tasks accurately.
5. High degree of skill and speed in typing, with extensive knowledge of English language usage, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
6. Expert proficiency in productivity software, such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite, as well as graphic design software like Adobe and Canva.
7. Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with various stakeholders, including district employees, bargaining unit representatives, parents, students, attorneys, and the general public.
8. Proven capacity to multi-task successfully, manage ever-changing priorities, and maintain efficiency.
9. Ability to remain composed and professional, especially in high-stress situations.
The following are preferred:
1. Knowledge of the responsibilities and duties of the district's programs, departments, and schools is highly desirable.
