Description
The Energy and Environment Cabinet, Division of Human Resource Management is currently looking for two Human Resource Specialists. If you are ready to expand your Human Resource knowledge and experience, we have the job for you!
By joining our team as a Human Resource Specialist, you’ll learn to provide personnel, payroll, and benefits guidance to hundreds of employees across the state.
Holders of the Human Resource Specialist position will complete tasks such as:
By joining our team as a Human Resource Specialist, you’ll learn to provide personnel, payroll, and benefits guidance to hundreds of employees across the state.
Holders of the Human Resource Specialist position will complete tasks such as:
- Learns to complete Personnel administration, including appointment, promotion, and non-register actions.
- Learns to execute Payroll administration for employees in KHRIS.
- Provides information and assist employees with benefits administration (health, life, dental and vision insurance.
- Learns to interpret and enforce human resource administration applicable statutes and regulations
- Utilize KY Human Resources Information System (KHRIS) and My Purpose.
- Experience utilizing SAP GUI and/or KHRIS
- Payroll, Personnel and Benefits experience
- Training & Development
- Employee Engagement
- Time Management
- Payroll and Personnel Experience
- Customer Service Experience
- Microsoft Office Experience
- Experience working in a team environment
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: One year of professional experience in personnel administration, business administration or management.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year for year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title perform duties in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
