Exciting Opportunity for an HR Generalist – Vancouver, WA (Construction Industry)

Are you a dynamic and resourceful HR professional? Our client, a reputable company in the construction industry, is seeking an HR Generalist to support their growing team in Vancouver, WA. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping the company's HR strategy and ensuring the success of its operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Recruitment & Onboarding:

• Lead the recruitment process by sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent for various roles within the organization.
• Manage the full onboarding process to ensure a smooth and efficient transition for new hires.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and align recruitment strategies with business goals.

Employee Relations & Support:

• Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters.
• Assist with conflict resolution and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
• Administer employee benefits programs and assist with any questions or issues related to benefits.

Compliance & Policy Management:

• Ensure company policies are compliant with local, state, and federal labor laws.
• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records.
• Coordinate and conduct training sessions on company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Performance Management & Development:

• Support managers in performance evaluations, goal setting, and employee development plans.
• Help implement programs to enhance employee engagement, retention, and career development.
• Administer employee recognition programs to foster a motivated and high-performing team.

HR Administration:

• Manage HR documentation, including employee files, job descriptions, and compensation records.
• Maintain accurate HR metrics and assist in preparing HR reports for leadership.
• Assist with payroll administration and other HR-related administrative tasks.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in HR, preferably in the construction or similar industry.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

Additional Details:

• Location: Vancouver, WA.
• Industry: Construction.
• Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
