Hospitality Controller, Director of Finance

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Hospitality Controller

At least 5+ yrs relevant experience (hotels and/or restaurants)
-Must have good tenure in prior roles.
-Solid experience with financial statements and workpapers
-Hospitality industry experience a firm requirement

-Yardi experience nice but not required
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to SOX compliance by implementing and monitoring internal controls.
- Conduct detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Supervise the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis to maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation for review.
- Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to foster a high-performance culture.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Proven experience in technical accounting, corporate accounting, or financial management roles.
- Strong knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and internal control frameworks.
- Proficiency in budgeting processes and financial forecasting techniques.
- Experience with account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, payroll management, and accounts receivable functions.
- Familiarity with various accounting software applications to enhance efficiency in reporting and data management.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills to collaborate across departments.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $175,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
