The Health & Safety Coordinator/Specialist’s primary role is to develop, establish, and maintain standards to eliminate occupational injuries/illness while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. They will also manage the documentation, training, auditing, administrative activities and ensure compliance with all State, Federal and OSHA regulations for a small to mid-size manufacturing facility. Salary: 55K to 62K Schedule: M-F, 8am to 5pm Location: Loudon, TN Job duties and Responsibilities
Manage and maintain health and safety programs including risk assessments, training, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and plant safety policies.
Conduct safety observations and audits including PPE checks, ergonomic evaluations, and safety walkthroughs to ensure continuous compliance and improvements.
Oversee safety training and certification for associates, including mobile equipment certifications, safety onboarding, and co-chairing the safety committee.
Track and report occupational injuries/illnesses, assist with investigations, maintain injury files, and ensure compliance with program requirements.
Experience and Skills Required
High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in science or occupational safety preferred. Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing production-based environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point); CPR/AED/First Aid Certification and EMT/First Responder Training a plus.
Strong documentation, filing, and organizational abilities with attention to detail, reliability, and resourcefulness.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment both independently and as part of a team.
