Graphics Proofing & Prepress Specialist
Job Summary:
The core responsibilities will include preparing artwork proofs for customers, which can range from simple changes to occasionally creating a new label design, or setting up art files for production. We use a Mac platform and prefer Adobe Illustrator. In this role, the graphics artist will work closely with Customer Service to meet the customer needs and vision for their labels. This is not a design role!
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Creates designs or revises existing art files for customers that visually communicates the desired product message.
· Reviews and proof-reads design to ensure that copy, color, layout, and dimensions are print-ready.
· Prepares final approved art for printing and on occasion providing support in prepress and color matching.
· Prepares and submits purchase orders with vendors for dies and tools required to print and complete customer orders.
· Maintains communication with team members regarding job requirements, status updates, feedback, and issues.
· Maintains accurate artwork files for company archives.
· Provides office support as needed, such as filing, answering phone calls and emails, etc.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent attention to details
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· Experience in Adobe Illustrator CC, Adobe Photoshop CC, Adobe In Design CC
· Minimum one year of experience in graphic design
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm, overtime as needed.
Pay range: $22 - $25 per hour depending on experience.
Classification: Nonexempt

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
