Grant Writer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in writing and research, with the ability to craft compelling proposals that effectively communicate our mission and secure funding. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. The Grant Writer will collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and ensure that all proposals align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Research and identify potential funding sources, including government grants, private foundations, and corporate sponsorships.
  • Write, edit, and submit grant proposals that clearly articulate project goals, objectives, and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of grant opportunities and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather relevant data and information for proposals.
  • Prepare financial reports and budgets as required by grant applications.
  • Proofread and review all grant submissions for clarity, accuracy, and compliance with funder guidelines.
  • Monitor grant application progress and follow up with funders as necessary.
  • Assist in strategic planning efforts related to fundraising initiatives.
Skills
  • Proven experience in grant writing with a strong portfolio of successful proposals.
  • Proficiency in contract management and understanding of funding regulations.
  • Strong financial report writing skills to create accurate budgets for proposals.
  • Familiarity with fundraising techniques and strategies to enhance proposal effectiveness.
  • Excellent proofreading skills to ensure high-quality submissions free of errors.
  • Ability to write technical documents clearly and persuasively for diverse audiences.
  • Experience with databases for tracking grants, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong strategic planning skills to align grant opportunities with organizational objectives.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $59,590.00 per year
