Position Summary: As a Family Case Worker at Casakids, you will be crucial in assessing family needs, developing service plans, and connecting families with essential community resources. You will also advocate for families, ensuring they receive the support necessary to achieve their goals. This position requires a trauma-informed approach and maintains the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial assessments to understand family needs and strengths.
Develop and implement individualized service plans in collaboration with families.
Advocate for families, providing guidance and support as they navigate various systems.
Connect families with community resources such as housing, childcare, employment services, and healthcare.
Monitor and adjust service plans to ensure families are progressing toward their goals.
Collaborate with staff members, service providers, and state personnel to coordinate services.
Manage and ensure the accuracy of all required documentation and evaluations.
Report any concerns or challenges to the Family Resource Center Director and seek assistance as needed.
Develop creative solutions to meet unmet basic needs of families.
Qualifications: Education: A bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is preferred. High School Diploma/GED required. Four years of relevant experience in social services may substitute for the bachelor’s degree requirement. Licenses: Valid New Mexico driver’s license and proof of current insurance required. Licensed Mental Health Professionals must have an active New Mexico license or the ability to obtain one. Bi-lingual: Spanish/English proficiency is required. Experience: Experience in child advocacy is preferred but not required.
