Treatment Scheduling: Work with the dentist and hygienist to develop treatment plans for patients. Schedule and confirm these appointments ensuring schedules are full.
Insurance Verification and Financial Planning: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, providing accurate estimates of costs and coordinating with insurance providers for pre-authorizations, as necessary. Help patients in understanding their insurance coverage and arrange alternative payment options, such as financing or payment plans as needed.
Patient Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with patients by delivering exceptional customer service. Follow up with patients to address post-treatment questions or concerns, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering long-term patient loyalty.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience working in a dental practice, preferably in a treatment coordination or patient care role.
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, treatments, and terminology
Proficient computer skills, including experience with dental practice software (Open Dental preferred)
Excellent communication and people skills to interact effectively with patients, dentist, and the administrative/clinical team.
Outstanding organizational abilities and mindfulness to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and treatment plans concurrently.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow privacy regulations.
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to manage patient concerns or tricky situations professionally.
