Estimator

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is critical in ensuring that our projects are completed on time and within budget, while also maintaining high standards of quality.
Responsibilities

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects.
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and Heavy Bid for estimating processes.
Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best rates for materials and services.
Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Prepare detailed contracts that outline the scope of work, timelines, and payment terms.
Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information necessary for accurate estimates.
Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project.

Skills

Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of contract management.
Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and Heavy Bid.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively communicate pricing strategies.
Excellent project management capabilities with a focus on cost control.
Ability to build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in reviewing plans and specifications.
Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols.
