Electronics Specialist

Nitek International is a leader in the manufacture of data transmission solutions and specialize in high speed high quality devices. All of Nitek's devices are designed, tested and manufactured in the US.
Nitek International is looking for an experienced Technical Specialist to work in the manufacture of our data transmission devices. The Technical Specialist will work with the engineering team to produce devices, test devices, and provide technical support. This is part of the assembly line for diagnosing and troubleshooting for a multiple products lines, testing all features, connections and functionalities. Candidate will build and assemble prototypes.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
****MUST BE ABLE TO SOLDER****
*Perform complex assembly of products
*Perform high precision calibration and advanced adjustments using testing instruments *Help develop assembly and test procedures to promote production of quality products
*Monitor the functioning of devices and report on any problems
*Ensure all log books are maintained
*Perform cleaning of all parts, assemble equipment
*Perform final checks ad adjustments
*learn, operate, and maintain the selective soldering equipment
*Use microscope and soldering equipment to add/remove small components on printed circuit boards
*perform complex soldering operations according to established specifications and instructions *solder components onto board assemblies using resistive, inductive, and soldering iron stations
*perform special soldering and assembly processes for proof of concept and engineering samples
*perform rework, repair, and adjustment operations as required on boards and assemblies *ensure all log books are maintained according to standard operating procedures
*monitor equipment efficiency and perform required preventive maintenance
*work closely with engineering to identify and implement production improvements
*work closely with engineering to help write and maintain soldering procedures
*maintain a clean and ESD safe environment

Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
