ECDC MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDER-PRN - DOQ/DOE

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The position of Mental Health Provider will report to the Health Services Administrator of the Eddy County Detention Center. The Duties and responsibilities of the Mental Health Provider is to evaluate/see Eddy County Detention Center detainees in person or by live telehealth link for a minimum of twice a week, totaling four (4) to ten (10) hours a week. The Mental Health Provider must maintain jail medical records on all visits and prescriptions or other orders written for the detainees.
The Mental Health Provider must keep a time log of all time spent inside the facility and all phone calls or text messages will be turned into the medical records clerk weekly. This Mental Health Provider will work within the scope of their practice as set forth by the NM Board of Nursing. The Mental Health Provider will use the Electronic Medical Record software, for all information pertaining to the medical/mental health of detainees. The Mental Health Provider must be available for text messages and/or phone calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Employee performs work alone without direction. Employee may be required to work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings, and perform other duties as assigned. The Mental Health Provider will adhere to ethical standards of their respective credentials.
