SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Donations Operations Manager, the Donation Scheduler position will manage the scheduling and logistics of daily pickup service of donated goods.
This is a Full Time Non-Exempt position. The DA will likely spend on average at least five days per week (Monday – Saturday). Must have availability to work Saturday.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Retrieve incoming calls/voicemails for the Re Store donation line
- Screen donation requests to ensure donations adhere to our acceptance policy
- Serve as a liaison between the donor and the Donation Ambassador (driver) during your shift
- Enter data related to scheduling, re-scheduling or cancelling a pickup
- Provide strong customer service to all donor
- Work with Donations Supervisor to manage and adjust pick up schedule (and assignments) as needed
- Understand the mission of Habitat for Humanity and have the ability to explain how donated items support that mission by bringing in funds and providing a space for affordable home furnishings.

- Clear and friendly communication
- Ability to resolve issues in a calm, professional manner
- Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite as well as agility to learn and utilize logistics programs (primarily data entry)
- Willingness to work independently but ability to work in a team environment when necessary
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- At least one year of customer experience required
- Data entry experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be on their feet for long periods of time. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, carry, as well as pulling and reaching to move items onto trucks and into stores. Position requires the ability to frequently lift products/supplies, up to 50 lbs.
