The Opportunity
We're looking for an outstanding Director of Engineering, Enterprise Gen AI Experience to lead the planning, development, and delivery of generative AI web applications that span features and products across the Adobe Experience Platform.
Reporting into the Adobe Experience Platform’s Unified Experience organization, a successful engineering leader will thrive in a 0-1 environment and will adopt a customer orientation while leading the development of new AI-based products. You should be respected as an inspiring leader, capable of influencing and directing technical development. We want someone passionate about delivering groundbreaking experiences who can iterate quickly while delivering the quality our enterprise customers expect.
This director’s organization will be made up of managers and engineers who focus on UI engineering for AI products across both Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe Journey Optimizer. They currently produce one of our flagship products, Adobe’s AI Assistant. What You’ll Do
Drive an engineering-led innovation practice, balancing inputs from multiple partners while representing a strong and confident POV.
Establish strong partnerships with multi-function teams including product management and design to drive delivery of new AI applications, including the AI Assistant within Adobe Experience Platform.
Work across a complex product-space serving as a champion for a unified strategy for cohesive workflows as part of the Unified Experience team.
Create and instill a creative team culture that allows for customer focused iteration, while maintaining a high quality-bar.
You will coach and mentor engineers. You will attract key engineering talent to the team.
You will represent Adobe Experience Platform externally at events to further our brand, attract critical players, and identify the team as a source of industry-leading UI engineering knowledge.
You can dive into the details – you should know the ins and outs of your team’s products, the architecture, and the trade-offs for all technical decisions. What You Need to Succeed
10+ years of leading and leading engineering teams while fostering an innovative and collaborative environment.
Software engineering experience across web services, web application development, and machine learning.
Understanding of the market landscape for Generative AI, including business and technology innovations.
Proficiency in one or more contemporary programming languages.
An opinioned stance on development tools and environments with an eye on developer experience and efficiency.
A steadfast pursuit of great customer experiences and continuous improvements to the product.
Advanced degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field of study.
Excellent speaking, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical internal collaborators.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $173,300 -- $344,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
