Oversees, organizes, directs, and evaluates the Dietary Department. Supervises and is responsible for the costs and budget process. Is responsible for purchasing, inventory management and grocery stock supplies. Is responsible for hiring and dealing with problems in the department. Conducts meetings and in-services for department, quality improvement reports, staff supervision and evaluation. Is responsible for clinical monitoring, intervention, and follow up nutrition related problems. Identifies nutritional concerns in care plan sessions, in writing RAP summaries, and MDS process, when writing care plan. Responsible for follow up documentation to assess any changes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Licenses and Certifications Required
Certified Dietary Manager required or willing to complete the course within 2 years
Educational Requirements
High School or equivalent preferred
Experience Requirements
Prefer knowledge about dietary
Special Skills or Training Requirements
Accounting experience, supervisory skills, food purchasing and preparation, and interpersonal experience
