This position is responsible to assist cook with preparing and serving a well-balanced, nutritious meals that satisfy the dietary needs of all clients. The individual is also responsible to meet all health and sanitary conditions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist with preparing and serving three well balanced, nourishing, appetizing meals to clients at scheduled times.
Read and follow recipes.
Prepare drinks and table for meal service.
Assist with cleaning kitchen.
Clean dining room
Prepare nourishing snacks for individuals.
Follow all principles of good sanitary practices, personal hygiene, safety, and prevention of potential hazards relative to food storage and serving.
Follow the directions of the dietary manager/dietitian.
Maintain appropriate records during the shift.
Know and follow dietary department, program, and agency policies and procedures.
Participate in departmental and all staff meetings.
Attend appropriate in-service training and continuing education opportunities.
Assist in client rehabilitative programs.
Participate in annual and introductory period performance evaluations.
