Position Description:
An immediate opening is available for a Department Coordinator IV in the Center for Cardiometabolic Science in the Envirome Institute. The position will support approximately 70 people. The primary focus will be in supporting the Center Director and 14 other faculty members. Plan and support occasional events, including hosting visiting faculty members. Provide support for electronic scheduling system (of scientific instrumentation). Interact with vendors regarding accounts, shipping, and related issues.
Scheduling
Manage schedule for Director of the Center for Cardiometabolic Science
Assist with scheduling meetings for the Center's faculty members
Maintain Center's electronic instrument use/scheduling system
Conference and symposium planning and coordinating
Coordinate new job applicant interviews with Center hiring committees
Financial
Process invoices using third party and university systems
Process travel reimbursements through university systems
Maintain professional society memberships/subscriptions for Center faculty
Travel
Organize travel arrangements for all Center members (faculty, staff, and trainees)
Organize travel and accommodations for guests of the Center
Training
Train others on department standard operating procedures
Train and support users of the Center's electronic scheduling system (for instruments)
General
Maintain building access for all occupants of Delia Baxter Biomedical Research Building
Arrange for shipping of laboratory samples
Communicate with outside vendors and visitors regarding Center activities
Work with faculty and others to prepare grant proposal documents to ensure completion, accuracy, compliance with guidelines, and timely submission
Perform other general administrative duties, as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with fiscal, purchasing, and travel processes.
Proficient in MS Office
Organized, task-oriented, flexible. Able to adjust to dynamic needs of the Center and its members. Responsive, communicative, personable. Able to work with a diverse array of team members.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$31.38
Target Compensation Minimum:
$20.92
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
