Responsibilities
The Database architect performs database systems installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning, and maintenance activities. Master's or Higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar relevant field. The position will include technical briefings and advisement to leadership on recommended courses of action, trade studies, architecture and design, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the AIMSS mission.
What you will do:
- Performs database maintenance and implementation activities for software development and lab infrastructure support capabilities.
- Has expertise in maintaining database operational structure and database configuration management.
- Has expertise in the development of operational user language for interfacing with SQL database applications.
- Performs database systems installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning, and maintenance activities.
- Develops database queries, scripts, reports, stored procedures, documentation packages, and documents processes.
- Understands change control and version control testing, processes and procedures.
- Ensures appropriate backup and disaster recovery measures are in place and documented.
- Has experience in development of a SQL Server database applications containing defined assets, conditions, constraints, test objectives, and other objects required to support an Asset based scheduling application.
Qualifications
Have a Master's degree 3+ years of expereince (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, computer science, or system engineering or PHD 0+ years of experience.
Basic Qualifications:
The candidate must have a strong understanding of data Center, and applications used to store, retrieve and secure MDA sensitive data.
The candidate must:
- Minimum of 0 -5 years combined Government/Do D experience in performing the essential duties listed above
- Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
- Be a US citizen
- Be able to work from the customer facility on a regular basis unless customer approved to work outside the local area
Other Qualifications:
An additional plus is experience with enterprise IT solutions, cloud migration, Dev Sec Ops, agile software development and application design, integration, testing and deployment.
Security Requirements:
Ability to obtain Interim Secret Clearance. Active Secret Clearance preferred.
Target Salary Range
$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
