Description:
SUMMARY
The Database Manager is a 20-25 hour part-time position responsible for management and operational oversight of the Blackbaud and Nutrikids databases. This position includes building and maintaining our entire student, family, and teacher data on the school's databases, record integration activities, learning management, and student information systems. Additionally, this position supports all users including parents and faculty/staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manages all aspects of the online Education Management Products for all three campuses
- Oversees the operations and backend of the online Education Management functions, performing system-specific procedures and global processes
- Prepares system for each new school year, creating structure for master schedule, enrollment, grading, attendance, and course pages to be utilized; builds customized report cards
- Supports/trains parents, new teachers/staff, and all existing employees
- Updates, builds, and manages grade plans, transfer grades, conduct, school forms, etc.
- Assists all departments in creating specific items students/staff photo updates
- Establishes appropriate database access control levels by creating, managing, and troubleshooting accounts, roles, and privileges of end-users
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Processes student withdrawals, deactivate accounts, active new accounts
- Performs other job-related tasks deemed necessary and/or assigned by the supervisor
Handles sensitive information in a confidential manner
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience managing complex databases and report querying (computer programming)
- Able to train and learn software if no experience with Blackbaud
- Ability to create, analyze, and report discrepancies
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and tact
- Exhibit strong written and oral communication skills
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Google
- Ability to work quickly and independently
- Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Experience with Blackbaud software
- Be able to demonstrate skills and experience managing software
DESIRED SPECIFIC SKILLS
- Knowledge of database structure; current versions of standard software applications, including database management
- Advanced understanding and ability to use computers and technology, including Microsoft Windows and Office products, Blackbaud (Education Management, etc.)

- Regularly uses close and distance vision; works at a computer screen for extended periods
