Dance Instructor

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team of teaching faculty at Dance Ascension. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and possess the ability to educate and inspire students of all ages. This role involves following set lesson plans provided by Dance Ascension, fostering a positive learning environment, and encouraging students to express themselves through dance. Experience in early childhood education or special education is a plus, as we aim to cater to diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities

Follow and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
Teach various dance styles with an emphasis on ballet, ensuring proper technique and form.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills.
Organize and participate in recitals, performances, and other events to showcase student progress.
Collaborate with parents and guardians regarding student development and progress.
Maintain a safe and clean studio space for all participants.
Utilize photography skills to capture class moments for promotional materials or social media.

Skills

Proficiency in ballet and other dance styles with the ability to teach effectively.
Strong communication skills to engage with students, parents, and staff.
Experience working with children in educational settings, such as preschool or special education environments.
Knowledge of curriculum developed for dance education that accommodates various learning styles.
Ability to provide tutoring or additional support for students needing extra help in their dance journey.
Creative mindset with an eye for photography to document classes and performances effectively.

Pay: $22.56 - $40.00 per hour
