Custodial Grounds Lead

Overview
With supervision and perform tasks required to meet the daily custodial and grounds schedule.
Responsibilities

This position requires that the employee read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.

Perform janitorial and grounds maintenance duties per contract schedule, requirements, and standards to include:

a. Clean/supply restrooms

b. Clean drinking fountains

c. Clean and disinfect toilets

d. De-scaling

e. Remove office trash

f. Sweep floors

g. Vacuum cleaning

h. Spot cleaning

i. Spray/buss floors

j. Wet mop floors

k. Interior/exterior window cleaning

l. Mow and edge trim

m. Prune shrubs and trees

n. Sweep sidewalks

o. Water and fertilize plants

p. Maintain gates, fencing, and exterior lighting

q. Snow removal from building walkways

3. Accept and implement special projects as assigned by supervisor.

Additional Duties: Other job-related duties as assigned.

Education: Desire to learn custodial and grounds maintenance tasks.

Licenses/Certification: Valid Driver’s License.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:

Bi-lingual preferred but not required.
Ability to work under stressful situations.
Ability to work independently, and in a team setting.

Rate of Pay: 15.75
Pay Range: OP-1
Hours: 7:00am - 6:00pm (Monday-Friday)
Other (e.g., post-offer drug screen, background check, driver’s license record, etc.). Employee’s must undergo a driver’s license record check; employees must pass a background check.
