Position Overview: *This is a part-time temporary position that will end at the end of March 2025* As a Courier at Mitchell Williams, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in their daily activities, contributing to the smooth functioning of legal operations within our vibrant and inclusive work culture. Your attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will directly impact our firms continued success.
Job Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Safely and securely transports legal documents, packages, and materials between the law office and various external locations, such as courts, government agencies, clients, postal services and other law offices.
Maintains detailed records of deliveries, pick-ups, and any discrepancies. Obtains signatures or other proof of delivery and returned signed documents promptly and accurately.
Picks up, sorts and accurately delivers mail from the post office box to the appropriate party.
Monitors, inventories and maintains order of the firms office and facility supplies and supply storage areas.
Provides set up, removal, and clean up for office meetings and conferences as requested.
Services the break rooms daily with beverage set up and maintains inventory for such.
Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and adheres to ethical standards, demonstrating commitment to our positive values and DEI initiatives.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualification
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must have reliable transportation, valid drivers license for state worked in, and be able to provide proof of current auto insurance.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organizational ability with attention to detail.
Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues in a respectful manner.
Capable of maintaining regular attendance.
Strong time management, multitasking and prioritization skills.
Ability to work independently with limited required direction and guidance on complex projects.
Must meet all local health regulations, and pass post-offer background and conflicts checks, if required.
Must be capable of performing the essential job functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
