RMEC is looking for on-site safety and health professionals to support shutdown activities for a client in the energy and power sector. Under general supervision, the safety professional will :
Identify and correct common hazards found on heavy industrial job sites.
Perform ad hoc and scheduled employee field trainings on topics such as fall protection, slips trips and falls, confined spaces, PPE, powered industrial trucks, hoists and rigging, cranes, etc..
Communicate with site owners, contractors, and other staff to identify and correct hazards.
Working at RMEC This is a temporary position to support shutdowns. Typical duration of each project is from 3 weeks to 2 months. Some day shift and night shift work may be required. Desired Qualifications and Skills for this position are:
CPR/AED/First Aid training
Familiarity with OSHA regulations
2+ years of experience in the safety and health field
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and as part of a team
Ability to travel
Familiarity with Microsoft family of products such as Word, Outlook, and Excel Spreadsheets
Familiarity with hazard reporting apps on mobile devices
Multi-lingual with Spanish language is a plus
OSHA 30 hour Construction or General industry preferred
Required for this position: 2+ Year's Experience in Safety and Health; Construction or Heavy Industrial Site Safety Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 84 per week Schedule:
12 hour shift
