Job Summary: Knik is looking for a Traffic Control Flagger
Davis Bacon Wages – Per Contract

Responsibilities:
  • Discusses traffic plans and the type and location of control devices per supervisor.
  • Distributes traffic control signs and markers along the site in designated traffic movement patterns through the site, using sign, hand, flag signals, and two-way radio.
  • Warns construction/utility workers when approaching vehicles fail to heed signals, accidents, and injury to workers.
  • Informs drivers of detour routes through work sites.
Requirements:
  • Must have a valid Flagger Certification Card
  • Strong verbal communication skills, ability to read and write, and good eye-hand coordination
  • Ability to quickly respond appropriately to unexpected events
  • The employee needs to be able to work without supervision
  • As this job may require long periods of standing in adverse weather conditions, the flagger must be in good physical condition.
  • Good eyesight (correction vision if needed) and hearing
  • Pre-hire drug test
