Job Summary: Knik is looking for a Traffic Control Flagger
Davis Bacon Wages – Per Contract
Responsibilities:
Discusses traffic plans and the type and location of control devices per supervisor.
Distributes traffic control signs and markers along the site in designated traffic movement patterns through the site, using sign, hand, flag signals, and two-way radio.
Warns construction/utility workers when approaching vehicles fail to heed signals, accidents, and injury to workers.
Informs drivers of detour routes through work sites.
Requirements:
Must have a valid Flagger Certification Card
Strong verbal communication skills, ability to read and write, and good eye-hand coordination
Ability to quickly respond appropriately to unexpected events
The employee needs to be able to work without supervision
As this job may require long periods of standing in adverse weather conditions, the flagger must be in good physical condition.
Good eyesight (correction vision if needed) and hearing
