Computer Systems Adminstrator

EMIT Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Computer Systems Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing IT infrastructure, with a focus on managing and securing endpoint devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices). This role ensures endpoints are compliant, secure, and effectively support user productivity and organizational security.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage servers, network equipment, and software, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
Monitor system performance, backup systems, and critical logs; troubleshoot issues proactively.
Configure and support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization environments.
Deploy and manage endpoint devices, utilizing tools like Intune for OS imaging, software updates, and security enforcement.
Ensure all endpoints comply with security policies through regular patching, antivirus management, and device encryption.
Troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues, collaborating with users to maintain minimal downtime.
Apply security best practices to systems and endpoints, including MFA, disk encryption, and vulnerability management.
Support cybersecurity initiatives by monitoring logs and responding to potential endpoint threats.
Maintain documentation for endpoint setups, deployment procedures, and incident resolutions.
Provide support for endpoint issues and train users on device best practices.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Basic experience in endpoint management and system support roles.
Familiarity with operating systems (Windows) and basic server concepts.
Good understanding of network fundamentals and troubleshooting.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Comp TIA A+, Comp TIA Network+) are a plus.
