Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospitals and 19 outpatient facilities, which treat half a million patients annually through 2,600 affiliated physicians.
This is a benefited, full time position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Start times may vary between 7-8am based on clinic needs. Located at the Shiley Medical Pavilion in Torrey Pines. Travel to other clinics required based on clinic needs.

Your job duties:
- All Medical Assistant duties

Responsible for providing technical support to Medical Assistant staff in a clinic site or physician module:
- training
- assurance of consistency and standardization of procedures
- management of day-to-day staff coverage arrangements to ensure excellent patient care
- staff performance management
- serve as a mentor to staff
- Responsible for covering multiple positions and departments, as well as mentoring new and existing staff on clinical processes and procedures
- Responsible for review of new and existing staff documentation and charge documents for completion and accuracy
- Practice within the scope of a Medical Assistant and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Certified Medical Assistant or Military Corpsman, plus two years applicable clinical experience.
- Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
- Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
Required Certification/Registration:
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or Military Corpsman program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS

Position Pay Range: $25.87-$35.65/hour
