Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
Incumbent is responsible for data management, reporting and analyses associated with the operations, productivity and performance improvement initiatives UCI’s centralized Patient Access/Co-located Call Centers and centralized Authorization Units. Gathers, maintains, tracks, analyzes and reports data from various sources in varied formats. Makes information available to managers and others for decisions and/or actions to improve performance. Collaborates extensively across the Health System to facilitate the UC Irvine Health strategic plan within the departments.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, with extensive use of Microsoft Excel in order to generate analytical reports and provide support for the department
- Strong analytical skills to collect and analyze operational data
- Resourcefulness to identify and search for information that is not readily available
- Proven ability to work independently with little or no supervision to meet critical deadlines, both short term and long term Ability to successfully identify priorities while managing multiple assignments simultaneously
- Previous experience creating, maintaining, and extracting information from a variety of databases
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Graduation from college with a major in business administration, economics, statistics, or an allied field, and/or two years of experience in administrative analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated experience working with staff, managers, physicians and/or high-level administrative staff to accomplish established outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to create and produce complex reports using computer programs such as Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint and Visio
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to independently collect, report, analyze and interpret data in order to make sound decisions

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Experience working in a hospital or clinic based environment
