As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a highly experienced and tenured salesperson to join our team. This individual will be pivotal in selling our injection molded container products and solutions to automation integrators, a key segment in our business growth strategy. Job Overview: This newly created role will focus on selling our established product lines to integrators and others throughout North America who build large pick-and-play systems and automatic warehouses. The role requires an industry expert and a proactive hunter in business development capable of establishing and cultivating strong client relationships, promoting our injection molding products and custom packaging solutions, and tailoring these offerings to meet each client’s specific needs. Your expertise and established connections within the automation sector will be key to expanding our market reach and driving revenue growth. Please note: This role focuses on selling the containers and packaging needed for integrator solutions, not the automation systems or software themselves. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to target integrators and systems builders within North America, driving growth and expanding market share for Schaefer Plastics.
Develop and implement sales strategies targeting automation integrators for our injection molded containers, pallets, lids, and custom returnable packaging solutions.
Negotiate contracts, close deals, and meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Act as the industry expert for integrators, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to significantly increase sales revenue.
Leverage existing industry contacts and develop new relationships within the integration community to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and projects are successfully implemented.
Qualifications:
Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of injection molded containers, pallets, lids, and custom returnable packaging solutions and how they function in an automation systems solution.
Industry Knowledge: Extensive network and knowledge within the automation industry, with a focus on integrators
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of proven success in sales, with a strong track record of selling into automation integrators within the automation or packaging industry.
Existing relationships within the integration and packaging industry are highly desirable.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work independently.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
Willingness to travel extensively initially, with the flexibility to adapt travel schedule as business needs evolve.
