Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties
Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries and general ledger accounting.
Process payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
Perform account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial statements.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as needed.
Maintain organized financial records in compliance with public accounting standards.
Utilize double entry bookkeeping methods to ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
Experience
Proven experience in bookkeeping for a residential home builder is preferred.
Familiarity with technical accounting principles and practices.
Strong knowledge of financial concepts, including but not limited to accounts payable, payroll, and account reconciliation.
Experience with public accounting is a plus but not required.
Proficient in Quickbooks accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
