Site Director for Before and After School Program

School Location: Queen Palmer Elementary - 1921 E Yampa St, Colorado Springs, CO 80909
Pay Range: $23-$27 per hour depending on experience
30 hours a week - Full-Time Position
Hours are Split Shift, Mon-Fri. 6:30 am - 9:00 am and 2:30 pm-6:00 pm

This position is both administrative and hands-on with 80% of your time spent in program engaging directly with the children. Work hours are to be 30 hours a week (approximately 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon), which we classify as full-time. ***We are beginning to screen and interview candidates for the upcoming 2024 - 2025 school year. Training for this role will begin in mid-July.***
The Site Director’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Supervise teachers and other employees by ensuring your program is running to standard
Ensuring administrative functions are current to include state licensing-related materials
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
Meet with school administration to ensure your program is running efficiently
Ensuring state ratios are adhered to and are based on student attendance
Communication with parents and families consistently
Exceptional classroom instruction and management skills
Ability to make adjustments to activities/labs to be inclusive to all students
Be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Highly detail-oriented and organized in work
Demonstrated leadership experience
Onboard and train new employees
Ability to meet assigned deadlines
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Position Requirements:

Persons with an Associate’s degree in early childhood education or child development must have three (3) months (455 hours) of verified experience.
Minimum Age Qualification: 21 years
Reports to Area Director/Program Director

Relevant Degrees:
Bachelors in one of the following:
a. Child Development;
b. Child Psychology
c. Early Childhood Education;
d. Early Childhood Special Education;
e. Educational Leadership and Administration;
f. Elementary Education;
g. Family and Human Development;
h. Family Studies;
i. Special Education; or
Completion of all of the following three (3) semester credit hour courses from an
accredited college or university in each of the following subject or content areas:
a. Introduction to Early Childhood Professions;
b. Introduction to Early Childhood Techniques;
c. Guidance Strategies for Young Children or has been issued by the Colorado
Pyramid Model Training certificate of completion;
d. Health, Nutrition, and Safety;
e. Administration of Early Childhood Care and Education Programs;
f. Administration: Human Relations for Early Childhood Professions or Introduction
to Business;
g. Curriculum Development: Methods and Techniques;
h. Child Growth and Development;
i. The Exceptional Child; and
j. Infant/Toddler Theory and Practice
