Jack Sprat Restaurant is seeking a full time Pastry Chef. This is a great opportunity for a pastry chef or baker to have a set schedule and create daily specials while helping us expand our baking program. The position will be primarily mornings with a flexible schedule based on business volume. Our dessert menu includes 4 year-round items as well as creative nightly specials and ice creams. We also bake buns, crackers and bread. Ideal candidates will possess the following qualities:
-Minimum 2 years Pastry/Baking experience
-Baking and pastry degree preferred but not necessary
-Cake decorating experience is a plus
-Bread production experience
-A la carte dessert production and plating
-Team player attitude & work ethic
Jack Sprat is an independently owned and operated, full-service restaurant at the base of Alyeska Mountain in Girdwood, Alaska. Serving world cuisine in a cozy casual setting five nights per week. We create health-conscious food with a balance between meat and vegan options. Jack Sprat is open year-round with a focus on fresh and local ingredients. The community of Girdwood is a small mountain town. Girdwood is unique and friendly with access to the "big city" of Anchorage, just 40 miles away along a national scenic byway. Jack Sprat is a fun and creative restaurant where the staff is like a family. Please apply if you are:

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
