Description
Congleton Service is a specialized automobile shop dedicated to the restoration and service of Land Rovers. We pride ourselves on building the best Land Rovers in the world by providing the highest level of service at every step. We are seeking a full-time automotive painter who can bring the same degree of dedication to our team.
As an Automotive Painter at Congleton Service, you will play a critical role in our restoration process, using your skills to enhance the appearance of each Land Rover we restore. You will be responsible for preparing and painting vehicle surfaces and parts, executing high-quality finishes, and working collaboratively with the rest of our team to add value to our clients’ lives.
Roles and responsibilities:

Surface Preparation: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle surfaces to assess any damage, imperfections, or rust that needs to be addressed. Sand, mask, and prime vehicle surfaces with precision.
Color Matching and Mixing: Accurately mix and match colors to meet original specifications or customer preferences.
Application of Paint and Finish: Apply primer, base coat, clear coat, and custom finishes with precision. Ensure each coat is evenly applied and free from imperfections. Have expertise in the appropriate techniques to achieve a flawless final product.
Quality Control: Perform thorough, objective inspections of product and finish at each stage of the process. Address any defects or inconsistencies immediately, making adjustments and applications as necessary.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain work area and equipment so that the paint station is in optimal functioning order- cleaning equipment, proper use, replacing worn parts, stocking inventory, etc.
Collaboration: Work in sync with the restoration team, ensuring that all painted components align with quality and aesthetic standards of Congleton Service.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an automotive painter with portfolio showcasing high-quality work on vehicles
Expertise in color matching, mixing, and application of various paint systems
Strong understanding of automotive painting techniques
Excellent attention to detail and patience
Pride in craftsmanship
