Automotive Detailer $650-$750 per week

Automotive detailing experience or other automotive experience.
* Some accounts require working outside in hot weather as well as cold weather.
This post is for our location in Southfield, Mi.
$15.00/ hr base + $10 per finished vehicle. Employees typically average 2-3 vehicles per day, with some experienced detailers averaging 3-4.
$15/hr base + 2 vehicles finished = $17.50/hr
$15/hr base + 3 vehicles finished = $18.75/hr
$15/hr base + 4 vehicles finished = $20.00/hr
After 3 months of employment employees are eligible for a promotion to painter assistant training and upholstery reconditioning technician training.
Advanced Auto Cosmetics is an On-site Fleet Reconditioning Service primarily servicing automotive dealerships. We have locations in Southfield, Waterford, Ypsilanti, Dundee, Ann Arbor, Madison Heights, and other locations in SE Michigan.
Automotive detailing experience or other automotive experience required. Must be able to operate in a fast paced environment. Must be able to work in hot and cold weather, must be reliable and dependable with an eye for quality work. Our services include Advanced Auto Detailing and Reconditioning Techniques, interior vehicle cosmetic repairs, stone chip and scratch repair, minor body repairs and bumper repainting.
Must be able to work with strong detergents and chemicals.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Detailing and Reconditioning Specialist
Shampoos carpets and upholstery
Vacuums floors and seats
Conditions vinyl and leather.
Cleans door frames and instrument panels.
Cleans all dirt, grease and tar from the exterior of the vehicle.
Uses air compressors and special equipment to dry the inside and outside surfaces.
Applies chemicals to surfaces to protect against spots and stains.
Uses various paints, waxes and dyes to protect the leather parts of a vehicle’s interior.
Uses hoses and pumps for washing and rinsing vehicles.
Dries floor mats.
Cleans and polishes wheel rims and makes them sparkle.
Cleans the headlights, brake lights and taillights making them brighter.
Fixes minor scratches and chips with touch-up vehicle paint.
Manages the inventory of cleaning supplies.
Keeps records of customers and calls when it might be time for another detail.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be detail oriented.
Must be an active listener and exercise sound judgment.
Good critical thinking and problem solving skills are essential.
Must have the ability to effectively manage material resources and keep track of an inventory of supplies.'

- Scratch removal, repair
- Exterior Paint Touch Up
- Exterior Paint Repair
