SUMMARY
Incumbents in this entry level Library series will provide customer service to library patrons and may include providing reference services using online catalog and databases, collection development and maintenance, bibliographic and technological instruction, library programming or managing library technical services. Serves on committees, assists with special functions and events, assists at the service desk and coordinates assignments with volunteers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in Library Science or a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
Master’s degree in Library Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited college or university preferred.
