Job Description
Under limited supervision, the Anesthesia Technician (AT) assists licensed anesthesia providers in the preparation and maintenance of patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems. The AT assists in the acquisition, preparation, assembly, including the routine stocking of supplies to operating rooms and NORA sites, and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. The AT assists in the transport of patients to and from critical areas of the hospital. The AT responds to areas of care outside of the operating room. This role performs a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist anesthesia providers in performing anesthetic procedures for diverse patient populations. The AT functions in an acute care environment requiring effective communication and ability to prioritize actions.
Additional Job Description
Minimum Education: A high school diploma or GED required.
Required Licensure, Certifications, and Registrations: Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
