Job Description:
Job Summary
This position monitors safety compliance, audit requirements, and inbound and outbound operations for UPS Small Package aircraft loads. He/She develops training plans for part-time supervisors to ensure employee certifications are current. This position supervises ramp operations, including monitoring external factors that could impact sort operations such as weather or flight delays. He/She oversees package handling to reduce damages and misloads and evaluates the need for aircraft or equipment changes to avoid delivery delays. This position tracks certification expiration dates to identify needed training sessions and completes recertification training to maintain compliance. He/She facilitates safety compliance by observing work group safety, conducting safety training, and reviewing employee suggestions and audit results to ensure implementation of safety procedures.
Responsibilities:

Monitors on-time statistics and reports to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.

Audits the sequence of aircraft load and unload procedures.

Oversees monthly employee audits.

Supervises others and determines employee training needs, including new hire training to produce continuous development plans.

Conducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues.
This job will have Random Drug Screenings.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred

Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs/32 kgs

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Supervisory experience - Preferred

Air Ramp Experience - Preferred

Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge - Required

Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $73.260,00/year to $105.840,00/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
