After School Tutor

Position: After-School Tutor
Location: Just 4 Kids Learning Academy, 11430 West Road, Houston, TX 77065
Hours: Part-time, Monday to Thursday, 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM (with the possibility of Saturday sessions based on demand)
Reports to: Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable After-School Tutor to provide academic support to children aged 5 to 12 years at Just 4 Kids Learning Academy. The tutor will focus on assisting students with their homework, reinforcing key concepts from school, and helping improve their learning skills in a structured yet engaging environment.
Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and group tutoring in core subjects, including reading, math, and science.
Assist students with daily homework assignments and offer guidance on specific questions or challenges.
Develop and implement age-appropriate learning activities to strengthen skills and encourage a positive attitude toward learning.
Monitor students' progress, adapt teaching methods as necessary, and report feedback to parents and the director.
Foster a safe and welcoming environment that supports learning and engagement.
Encourage good study habits, organization, and time management skills among students.
Ensure students adhere to the academy’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; a background in Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience tutoring or working with children aged 5 to 12 in an educational or after-school setting.
Strong understanding of basic educational concepts in math, reading, and science for elementary and middle school levels.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in supporting children's educational growth.
Ability to manage groups of students and maintain an organized and productive environment.
