Activities Helper
Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team at a nursing home facility specializing in memory care and long-term care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing engaging and meaningful activities for seniors in a compassionate and supportive environment. Must be a CNA and have experience in Activities in a nursing home.
Duties
-Help to implement a variety of recreational activities (that is planned and organized by the Activities Director) for residents, including but not limited to arts and crafts, music therapy, exercise classes, and social events
- Help implement programs tailored to meet the physical, mental, and emotional needs of residents, particularly those with dementia
- Help to coordinate with staff to ensure activities align with individual care plans and support the overall well-being of residents
Qualifications
-Must be a Certified CNA!!
- Previous experience in a similar role within a nursing home or senior care setting is preferred
- Knowledge of recreational therapy principles and techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff
